In order to operate the TND sealant appropriately, please pay attention for the following aspects:
1. Storage requirements
① Store the sealant in cool, dry and ventilated locations, far away from fire and heat, cannot mix with strong oxidizer and food additives;
② FIFO(first in first out), and avoid that the sealant goes beyond shelf life;
③ It is better to store the sealant in the special warehouse, and avoid to store much sealant in workshop.
2. Safety requirements for Operation
① The operators should be trained and had the emergency handling ability;
② No fire , no smoking in the workshop and warehouse;
③ Forbid to use the sparking tools and machines in workshop;
④ Must equip with enough fire extinguishers on site, ensure the safety exits are unlocked and unblocked;
⑤ Keep the well-ventilated condition, the exhaust equipment is required to dilute the room air of workshop;
⑥ Handle carefully to avoid leakage, The small amount of leakage can be wiped by tissue or cloth, Must wear the PPE and then inform the professional staff if there is a large amount of leakage.
⑦ Must wear PPE when you pour the sealant into the machine, it can avoid splashing into face and eyes. In the case of accident of splashing, it should be quickly flushed away with a large quantity of water. you can refer to the MSDS for this point;
⑧ Cannot add water and other materials into sealant, it would cause the emulsification ;
⑨ Only the specified diluents of can be used , unspecified materials would affect the sealant performance ;
⑩ Must seal the buckets properly after taking the sealant away, it can avoid volatilization;
⑪Must clean the sealant application machine regularly, the operators should wear gas masks and other related PPE, should operate from the windward side.
